Kazakhstan to export wheat to China in March

In March, for the first time, Kazakhstan starts wheat exports to China, declared Akylbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the Minister, the head of Food Contract Corporation met with representatives of Chinese state holding, which regulates 90% of export and import operations with grains, and negotiated concerning exports of Kazakh wheat.

At the beginning of December 2009, China provided quotas for purchasing of 3 mln tonnes of Kazakh grains, at the same time, the future import volumes will be regulated according to grain production volumes in China.
