In 2009, all varieties of agricultural economies in Belarus produced 8510.4 thsd tonnes of grains in clean weight, a decrease of 502.7 thsd tonnes compared to 2008, declared the National statistics committee of Belarus.
Thus, grain production decreased by 5.6% compared to 2008 – 90.5% of the forecast for 2009. In 2009, grain production totaled 33.3 c/ha as opposed to 35.2 c/ha in 2008.
Grain production in agricultural organizations totaled 7.95 mln tonnes, down 5.6% compared to the level of 2008. Agricultural economies of the population decreased grain production by 6.7% compared to 2008.
