Russian grains is the strategic export product, and the commodity positions Russia as one of the guarantors of the global food security on the international market, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
According to E.Skrynnik, effective measures of the governmental support allowed to maintenance the domestic requirements in grains by 100%. The average annual production volumes of grains in Russia reached the level of 100 mln tonnes, which secures the export volumes at the level of 20 mln tonnes. In the terms of continuation of the positive trends on the world market of grains, the export volumes will grow to the level of 40 mln tonnes in 10-15 years.
The Ministry also works out the program of development of the infrastructure and logistics maintenance of the agro industrial market.
According to the head of the Ministry, the department mainly concentrates on stimulating of innovative technologies, supporting of modernization of the infrastructure, exports and development of processing capacities. Securing of the price stability of the domestic market through realization of the public purchasing and commodity interventions, and pledge operations is priority task of the Ministry.
