In 2009, inflation in Ukraine will total nearly 12.3%, declared Julia Timoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
According to the data of the State committee of statistics, during January-November period of 2009, the inflation in Ukraine totaled 11.3%, in November – 1.1%.
The Secretariat of the President forecasts inflation at the level of 13-14% last year.
Previously, J.Timoshenko forecasted the deceleration of inflation in 2009 to the level of 13% as opposed to 22.3% in 2008. At the same time, the government holds the official forecast of inflation last year at the level of 9.5%.
