During January-October of 2009, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan totaled 3.08 bln manat, an increase of 3.6% compared to the index of the same period of the previous year, declared the State Committee of Statistics.
According to the data of the Committee, during the reporting period, the growth of plant growing products output totaled 4.2%.
The country almost completed the harvesting campaign of grains and leguminous plants. As of November 1, 2009, agrarians harvested 2837.1 thsd tonnes of grains (except of maize), 149.7 thsd tonnes of maize, 14.5 thsd tonnes of sunflower.
As of November 19, the official currency exchange rate totaled 0.8 manat/1 USD.
