During January-November of 2009, Kazakhstan exported 2.93 mln tonnes of grains, declared the media-department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As a reminder, during the same period of 2008, the country exported over 5 mln tonnes of grains.
According to the forecasts of the Ministry, in 2009/10 MY, the export potential of Kazakhstan will total 10 mln tonnes of grains. In 2009, the general grain production in bunker weight totaled 22.7 mln tonnes, an increase of 34% compared to the previous year index.
As a reminder, in 2008, Kazakhstan harvested 15.6 mln tonnes of grains. The export potential totaled over 6 mln tonnes of grains.
