According to estimations, in October 2009, agricultural production volumes of all agricultural producers of the Russian Federation (agricultural organizations, farming economies, population) totaled 324.5 bln RUR in the current prices, during January-October of 2009 – 2087.8 bln RUR, informed the Federal service of state statistics (Rosstat).
As of November 1, 2009, the Russian Federation harvested grains throughout nearly 88% of the planned areas, including maize for grains – 59.8%. Agrarians harvested sunflower throughout 80.6% of the planned sowings as opposed to 90.6% on the same date of the previous year.
All varieties of agricultural economies (agricultural organizations, farming economies, population) produced 101.3 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight, 5.9 mln tonnes of sunflower. In the current year, agrarians lowered grain production by 9.9% compared to the same date of the previous year. Sunflower seed production decreased by 13.4%.
As in the previous years, agricultural organizations harvested the main share of grains – 77.9% of the general volumes, and sunflower – 70.7%. Farming economies harvested 21.2% of grains and 28.9% of sunflower, which almost corresponds to the level of the last year.
As of November 1, 2009, agricultural organizations sowed winter grains for the harvest-2010 throughout the areas of 13.2 mln ha, up 7.6% compared to the previous year.
