Crop production sector of Kazakhstan received good harvest at almost all varieties of agricultural crops, declared Akylbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 20.
According to the Minister, the general grain production in the country totaled 22.7 mln tonnes in bunker weight, an increase of 34% compared to the previous year harvest. Harvesting areas of oilseeds exceed the area of 1 mln ha. According to preliminary estimations, the harvest of oilseeds will total 700 mln tonnes, up nearly 70% compared to the lat year level.
Rice production increased by 26% and reached the level of 322 thsd tonnes.
