All oblasts of Kyrgyzstan, except of Issyk-Kul and Naryn oblasts, almost completed the harvesting campaign of grains, declared the press-cutting service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Processing Industries of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 16.
According to the Ministry, agrarians of the country harvested grains and leguminous plants throughout 550.3 thsd ha from the planned areas of 656.6 thsd ha, or 83.8%.
The average yield reached the level of 30.5 c/ha, up 6.7 c/ha compared to 2008 level. Wheat production volumes totaled 1.03 mln tonnes, an increase of 246.5 thsd tonnes compared to the previous year level, according to the announcement.
