Kazakhstan: during 9 months of 2008 grains prices increased by 21%

In September, 2008, the prices for plant growing products in Kazakhstan increased by 19% compared to December, 2007, according to the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Selling prices for grains increased by 20.6%. The prices for rice increased by 28.7%, wheat – by 20.7%, rye – by 19.1%, barley – by 15.6%, maize – by 12.2%, oats – by 10.3%, buckwheat and millet – by 3-4%.

During 9 months, sunseed grew in prices by 23.7%, peas – by 19.3%.
