Kazakhstan not to order wheat export ban

This marketing year, Kazakhstan will not impose a ban on grain exports, Akulbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture, said on September 27.

Further, the country plans to export nearly 5-6 mln tonnes of grain and flour. To date, Kazakhstan harvested grain throughout 15 mln ha, or 96%, of planned territories. This crop has totaled 16.3 mln tonnes measured in bunker weight. An average yield totaled 10.9 c/ha, down 3.6 c/ha compared to the previous year. Kazakhstan expects a grain harvest of 17 mln tonnes, according to the A.Kurishbaev.
