In August, Ukraine produced 77.100 tonnes of crude sun oil, a decrease of 33% compared to July and down 26% compared to August 2007, according to the State Statistics Committee.
At the same time, real production was higher in August than the State Statistics Committee said, and totaled 83.800 tonnes, according to IA APK-Inform`s data.
By the end of August, finished products totaled 14.000 tonnes, down 7% compared to the end of July.
During 2007/08 MY, Ukraine produced 1.8 mln tonnes of crude vegetable oils, as opposed to 2.1 mln tonnes in 2006/07 MY. The production of crude sun oil totaled 1.7 mln tonnes.
