Tajik agrarians harvested wheat from the area of 157.600 ha, or more than 70% of panned areas (218.390 ha). Wheat harvest totaled nearly 268.000 tonnes, average yield - 19 c/ha, reported Narzullo Dadabaev, head of media-department of Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan, on August 6.
According to him, agrarians harvested 295.000 tonnes of grains from the area of 173.948 ha from 284.237 ha of planned areas.
Tajikistan will have enough grain this year, because grain sowing areas were increased by 30% as compared to 2007, reported Ministry.
