According to forecasts of specialists, in 2008 Ukraine will harvest twice as many grains as compared to the previous year, reports LigaBusinessInform.
Good weather conditions and sufficient number of precipitations provided rich crop of 2008. But grains harvesting doesn't mean good grains storage, remark specialists, because grain has heightened humidity and needs special processing. To date Ukraine has a lack of applied volume of grain storages. Grain growers, who didn't care for grain infrastructure before, made long queues to elevators, and spring grains prices decreased as compared to world prices. Due to rising prices for fuel and foodstuff, Ukrainian grain products will get high demand. But agrarians have to meet two conditions to sell grains at the highest prices: harvesting with minimum loses and high-quality storage. Contemporary grain storages are recompensed in a year, and agrarians know that, reported Vitaliy Skozsuk, General Manager Of Amaco Company. In July, 2008, AMACO built tower dryer Meyer 2400s (natural gas) for agrofirm Tripolie (Rivno region).
One of this season problems is high humidity of rapeseeds - 16-17%. But dryers of Amaco is able to bring grains to 7% humidity level with capacities of 25 t/ha.
