Kazakhstan to export wheat only to Kyrgyzstan

According to the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev, Kazakhstan will lift the ban for wheat export only regarding Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, the earlier concluded agreement with Kazakhstan that foresees the obligation of the Kazakh shipment of 50.000 tonnes of grain into the State Material Reserve of Kyrgyzstan is still in force, despite the ban for grain export introduced by Kazakhstan in view of the world prices increase.

It is expected that in the nearest time Kazakhstan starts to fulfill this agreement. According to the traders, Kazakhstan will export durum wheat to Kyrgyzstan.

At that, during this year, 300.000 tonnes of milling grain will be additionally supplied into the State Material Reserve of Kyrgyzstan.
