According to the Union of Agrarian Exchanges of Ukraine, as for October 13, 2006, Ukrainian enterprises have concluded contracts for export of 5.82 mln. tonnes of grains of the new harvest.
In particular, they contracted for export 1.9 mln. tonnes of milling wheat, 802.000 tonnes of feed wheat, 2.87 mln. tonnes of feed barley and 96.330 tonnes of maize.
The average prices on commodity exchanges (on export contracts) for 3rd grade wheat for October 13, 2006, were at 808 UAH/t ($160), for 4th grade wheat - 738 UAH/t ($146) on FOB terms, for 5th grade wheat - 732 UAH/t ($145), for 6th grade wheat - 659 UAH/t ($130), for 3rd grade barley - 659 UAH/t ($130,5) on the same terms.
On the analogous date of 2005, Ukrainian commodity exchanges noticed the conclusion of export contracts for delivery of 6.63 mln. tonnes of grains, including 1.91 mln. tonnes of milling wheat, 1.85 mln. tonnes of feed wheat, 2.56 mln. tonnes of barley and 136.220 tonnes of maize.
