During the first months of 2006/07 marketing year Russia exported 1.86 mln tonnes of wheat. Last year the analogue index totaled 2.09 mln tonnes, reported APK-Inform referring to the data of State Customs Committee of Russian Federation.
The average selling price for wheat totaled $126/tonne in August.
The largest volume of Russian wheat was imported by Egypt in July-August 2006 (582.000 tonnes). Besides, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh and India bought significant volumes of this grain.
