According to the calculations of Government in Ukraine, in 2007 grain crop will total 39 mln tonnes (against 37.16 mln tonnes in 2006 and 38.02 mln tonnes in 2005). This index was put in the State program on economic and social development of Ukraine for 2007 published on the site of Ministry of Economy.
Also, they forecast increase in sugar beat harvest by 1.3% - from 20.63 mln tonnes in 2006 to 20.9 mln tonnes in 2007. In 2005 this index totaled 15.48 mln tonnes.
At the same time sunseeds crop is expected to decrease by 11.3% - from 5 to 4.5 mln tonnes (in 2005 - 4.7 mln tonnes).
In general, gross oilseeds harvest is forecasted to increase by 2.8% - from 6.74 mln tonnes to 6.93 mln tonnes (in 2005 - 5.68 mln tonnes).
