In January 2006 transportations of vegetable oils destined for exports by the railways of Ukraine increased 49.5 percent from the same month of last year - to 82,830 tonnes, APK-Inform has learned in the state department of railway transport (Ukrzaliznysia).
Vegoils transits by the railways increased 15.3 percent on year - to 16,100 tonnes.
However, transportations of oils delivered by imports in January 2006 dropped 37.3 percent year-on-year - to 8,880 tonnes. Domestic transport of vegoils dropped 7.2 percent from January 2005 - to 10,280 tonnes.
