The company "SKAT" was established in Novorossiysk in 1992 and for last years it has become the group of companies which basic lines of activity are forwarding service of the export-import cargoes, ship's agency service and freight traffic activity. Nowadays the branches of the group of companies "SKAT" successfully work in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Rostov-on-Don, Azov and Yeysk, i.e. in almost main Azov-Black Seas basin’s ports of Russia that allows creating flexible logistic schemes. Staffs of the company are qualified specialists who have a special education and experience of merchant navigation, railway and trucks cargo transportations.

We strictly follow normative documents of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, State Customs Committee and OJSC "Russian Railways” as well as Regulations and Rules of ports’ Maritime Administrations in respect on commercial activity, safety of navigation and environment.

Long-time business relationships with ports’ Maritime Administrations and ports services favour quick performance of tasks arisen before group of companies, working up and the following development of long-range business-projects and satisfaction of our clients’ needs.

Annual cargo turnover of "SKAT" group of companies is about 1.5 million tons of grain cargoes handled in Azov-Black Sea ports and about 2 million tons of raw sugar in bulk passing through ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse.

We are not loosing time and looking for new and alternative schemes of handling and shipment of agricultural cargoes. In the end of the last and at the beginning of the current year we successfully tried out transportation of grain cargoes in returnable soft containers MK-14-10 by railway. Transportation to port of loading is carried out into top-open railway cars with storage at open area and following loading on bard in bulk. It allows to deliver of consignment in the port before vessel’s arrival and to avoid extra expenses for delay of railway cars and in the same time to solve a problem of providing with special grain railway hopper-cars during of high season of grain cargoes transportations.

Direct pipe line was developed and applied to loading vegetable oils directly from railway tank cars on board in 2004. The same technology was applied to handling of imported tropical oils in bulk in 2006. The existing technology allows handle three tankers up to 25000 mt capacity at three berths at the same time. New equipment fitted recently keeps rate of loading and discharging up to 5000 mt per day. Now “SKAT-A” is an exclusive forwarder of tropical and vegetable oils in the port of Novorossiysk.        

The group of companies "SKAT" is member of Russian Grain Union and its board of directors.
